Well after it being on release for nearly 30 years I thought its about time I watched this Sci-Fi classic. I ordered the ‘Final Cut’ version from Play.com for the very reasonable price of £2.99. This was the cut that Ridley Scott wanted the film to be. His perfect version.
The film starts with an amazing fly over Los Angles in 2019. Its a dark disturbing image with huge raging fireball heading skywards and futuristic flying machines glide by.
The film is essentially a straighforward thiller. Replicants (A very advanced form of robot) have killed some people on another planet and have came back to Earth. It is the job of Harrison Ford to find them. He is a Blade Runner – an expert in finding Replicants.
What the film does though is play with your morals. Are these replicants more human than we think, do they have rights etc.
